I earned my Ph.D. from the University of North Dakota and completed clinical internship training at Duke University Medical Center, followed by postdoctoral training at the University of Washington. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in various medical settings, leading teams of psychologists and medical professionals, training students, and supporting healthcare providers in managing the unique demands of their roles.
I believe that meaningful progress and lasting success stem from a strong therapeutic relationship paired with effective, evidence-based techniques. I am here to listen and also to guide you toward concrete and meaningful changes in your life. Whether you choose the convenience of virtual sessions or the connection of in-person visits, I will work with you to enhance your emotional and social well-being. In addition to therapy services, I also provide psychological assessments for adults for diagnostic clarification (e.g., ADHD) and presurgical psychological evaluations.
My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), behavioral techniques, and interpersonal strategies. To ensure focused and personalized care, I limit the size of my practice, allowing me to provide the attention and support each client deserves.
I am licensed in the state of Minnesota and am authorized to practice telepsychology in the states, districts, and territories that are part of PSYPACT (see www.psypact.org). While I do not accept insurance, I can provide a superbill that clients can submit to their insurance for out-of-network reimbursement at a typical rate. Additionally, clients are welcome to use Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for payment as available.
